How Spirits Work
Distillation: Unlike beer or wine which are only fermented (reaching 4% to 15% ABV), liquor undergoes heating and cooling to concentrate the alcohol.
Alcohol Content: Most standard spirits contain around 40% ABV (80 proof), but can range from 20% up to 95% ABV for rectified spirits.
Whiskey/Whisky: Made from fermented grain mash like barley, corn, or rye, and aged in wood barrels. Typical alcohol content is around 40% ABV (Alcohol By Volume). Popular options we have are;
